Pastor Ken grew up in the Detroit area, and graduated from the University of Michigan. He attended Seminary in Chicago, with additional study in Sweden. He was ordained in the Church of Sweden, and served there for several years. Upon returning to the U.S., he served 2 congregations in the Detroit area before coming to Kalamazoo in 1998.

Pastor Ken is married to Mary, and they have 3 children. They love living in Kalamazoo. He likes to travel, read, kayak, hiking, long walks, the outdoors, medieval mysteries, various pets (A newfie and a golden right now). His favorite bible verses include John 3:16, Micah 6:8, 1Tim. 1:12.
